Tirana International Airport handles almost all scheduled traffic. Kukës has a small number of flights. An airport near Vlorë has been under construction with repeatedly revised opening dates — do not plan around it until it is operating.
Morinë on the A1 from Kosovo is the busiest and fastest crossing. Hani i Hotit north of Shkodër serves Montenegro. Qafë Thanë near Pogradec serves North Macedonia. Kakavijë south of Gjirokastër serves Greece and queues heavily in summer and at holidays.
