At the time of writing, The Albania Atlas carries no affiliate links and no advertising. Nothing on the site earns a commission, and no business has paid for inclusion, placement or tone.
If that changes
The site is built so that it could carry advertising or affiliate links later. If it does, the following will apply, and this page will be updated to say that they are in force.
- Affiliate links will be disclosed at the point of use, not only here, in accordance with the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides and equivalent rules elsewhere.
- A commission never determines what is covered, how it is ranked, or what is said about it. The editorial and inclusion decisions on this site are made before any commercial relationship is considered, and are documented in the editorial policy.
- Nothing that carries a commission will be described as a recommendation, because this site does not make recommendations.
- Advertising, if enabled, will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content, and will not appear inside the body of an article in a way that could be mistaken for it.
- Where advertising uses cookies and the law requires consent, consent will be sought before any non-essential cookie is set. See the privacy policy.
What is never for sale
Inclusion in the Atlas, the wording of a page, the removal of accurate but unflattering material, and the ordering of any list.
